Grace Community Church has been Jan's home church for more than a decade. John was attending a different church but has recently become a member of at Grace. On April 19th, John was baptized in water at Grace. Later that day, he proposed to Jan.

Directions to Aversano’s from Grace: 
(About 7 miles from the church – should take about 20 minutes)
Start at 1320 AUBURN WAY S.  
Head west on Highway 18
Take Highway 167 – going South
Take Highway 410 – Heading towards Sumner
Take the Valley Ave Exit – (2nd Exit on the 410) – Make a left.
Make a right on Main Street E.
Turn Right on Parker Rd. E.

Aversano's Italian Restaurant in Sumner is one of Jan's favorties and the notorious location of the Jan & John first date in February 2008. For Jan's birthday in late March, John took her out for a "surprise." Jan wrote on her Facebook page that John was doing "something special" for her birthday. Her friends anticipated that the next call from Jan would be telling them she was engaged. Alas, it was truly a birthday celebration at Aversano's with John and his daughter Kari and her boyfriend .
